Acrescpapes can assist you with paddock and pasture care, including fertilizing and spreading products. A healthy pasture could can reducde livestock feeding cost and also help suppress unwanted weeds. In addition to the above it will help soil retain moisture and promote soil nutrition. It is important to regularly inspect the condition of your soil and grass in order to detect problems early on. Prevention is much better than cure.
Firebreak, slashing and fire mitigation
We can help get your property compliant with fire prevention regulations. From firebreaks, slashing and vegetation reduction to asset protection zones and more. Failure to protect your property against fire is not only a huge risk to you but also those around you. While many people see the cost associated with installing a firebreak as an expense it really is a kind of insurance policy. Remember you risk receiving a fine if you do not comply with the regulations set out in your firebreak notice issued by your local council or shire.
One of our clients had a real problem with Guildford grass (Onion grass) but did not want to kill her pasture. We were able to assist with great results. Wiping can be applied to a large variety of unwanted weeds provided the weeds are taller than the grass or pasture that should remain. In many cases early detection of unwanted weeds are absolutely critical to prevent spreading and are also much easier to treat in these early growth stages. In Western Australia many weeds such as onion grass, cape weed and cape tulip can be seen from June or July and it is ideal to act early.
Leveling and pasture creation
We were asked to level out a piece of land to establish a pasture. We were also able to spread a large amount of manure and compost for the client, turn over the soil and level it all out before pasture seeding. Each project is unique so feel free to contact us with your property needs.
Vacant block clearing
We can assist with clearing your vacant block. This will ensure that you are compliant with council or shire rules and regulations. Not only does an overgrown block pose fire risks but a clean block lifts the value and street appeal of your property. If you are looking to sell, it may be worth getting your property in the best shape before going to market.
Acrescapes can slash your vacant block, hobby farm, larger farm, golf course, holiday park or any other area that requires vegetation to be slashed. Our small but powefull tractor is highly manoeuvrable. Our slasher is 1.5 meters wide which means we can fit in tight spaces but also cover a large area saving time and money.
Not all products can be spread which makes our liqiud sprayer a great alternative. There are a large number of products on the market to improve your pasture or paddock. We will be happy to assist and discuss your needs.
Although not our main business activity, in some cases we can help with larger projects. Here we prepared a site and installed a brand new lawn for a client. The process involved the removal of a few small trees and the old lawn. After that we reduced the slope of the yard as per the clients request. The next step was to improve the soil and install the new lawn.
A rotary hoe or tiller is used to turn over the soil, this is ideal for creating a firebreak, vegetable garden or any other area that can then be worked or seeded. It can also be used to clear an area by removing the current vegetation. This implement cannot be used in areas with heavy or large rocks, or too close to big tree roots. However we can provide an altenative solution in many cases. Another function of our rotary hoe is the fact that we can adjust the working depth. This really comes in handy when there may be shallow water or irrigation pipes present.
Did you know that we can supply certain products for your next project. In many cases our clients know what they want to do but are not sure what products to use. Let us supply the right product for the job or even assit in purchasing, transporting and delivering it to site.
Vegetation and fuel reduction
Acrescapes was able to assit in turning a bush block into a usable piece of land. The first step was to clear areas identified by our client. After the area was cleared the slashed vegetation was worked into the soil with a cultivator (disc harrow) which should improve the soil. The next step was to apply fertiliser and sow a pasture mix. In the long term saving the client from buying animal feed. It also provided a much safer area with regards to potential bushfires.
Large area mowing
Do you have a large block, lawn or area that requires a mow? We can help with that and our John Deere Mower makes light work of large mowing jobs. In addition to large area mowing we also have a variety of other quality power tools, such as line trimmers, pole and chain saws. Be sure to mention that annoying branch you always wanted to get removed when you call us for any other job.
